Working with a representative of UNESCO in Viet Nam

On March 5th afternoon, Hue University of Sciences had a meeting with Mrs. Kathernine Muller – Marine, a representative of UNESCO in Viet Nam. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the UNESCO’s project activities and to formalize the participation of the university.

Mrs. Kathernine Muller – Marine presented the projects on climate change response, application of information technology and communication in the field of education and training. UNESCO has supported the Ministry of Education and Training to build the learning sites and develop the curriculums.

The topics on climate change, disaster risk reduction, biodiversity conservation, remote sensing & GIS were also discussed in the meeting. Mrs. Kathernine Muller – Marine expected to receive the collaboration of scientists from Hue University of Sciences to do the research and draw up the appropriate suggestions to the community. UNESCO will sponsor the budget to implement the projects and to organize the training courses at Hue University of Sciences.
